Teaching at Aarhus University
I am an Assistant Teacher in the courses Monte Carlo simulation and Mathematical
Modelling.

RISK medical solutions
Worked in a team consisting of a statistician and ophthalmologists. We created an algorithm based on published epidemiological data on risk factors for diabetic retinopathy, which determines optimal screening intervals for diabetics. The results will be published later this year. The calculator can be found on http://www.risk.is.
May 2008 – August 2008:
The Icelandic Heart Association
Under the guidance of a statistician and a doctor I analyzed the AGES and Reykjavik
Study datasets. We identified and quantified the relevant risk factors for
osteoporotic fractures and used survival analysis to build a calculator evaluating fracture risk of patients.
September 2007 – May 2008:
The Statistics Centre at the University of Iceland
Worked as a statistic consultant, answering questions and enquiries and supporting students who were doing their Master or PhD degrees at the University of Iceland
with the statistical parts of their projects.
August 2007 – December 2007:
Teaching at the University of Iceland
